For all Vietnamese, Lunar New Year is without doubt the most important holiday during the year, whether you are staying in Vietnam or not. For Vietnamese communities away from fatherland, away from families like people studying and working in Singapore, Lunar New Year seems to have lost its specific meanings. Our “Tet” could not have those delicious traditional home-made dishes, cheerful customs during the holiday or the hilarious annual comedy “Tao Quan” (Kitchen Gods) in VTV. We could not even share the special moment of looking at the fireworks in the sky with our beloved ones.
To those who could go back to Vietnam and celebrate the holiday with their families, we wish you a meaningful Tet, and a happy new year. To those who could not, we VNNTU proudly present to you a special event during this holiday: Cultural Night
Sadly, Cultural Night could not bring fireworks into the function hall. Instead of this, we would like to invite you into a night of Vietnamese Tet culture with distinctive traits of three main culture regions: North, South and Central Viet Nam. We would share our traditional dishes, join in our games, visit the folk culture in our booths and, last but not least, we would be entertained by the Tao Quan comedy – VNNTU version.
The program would also include the contest CnC Couples and Couples to make the program even more interesting.
Your happiness is our most meaningful gift in the New Year Eve.
