Project V is a vocal competition organized by VNNTU. It has gone far beyond a normal music show with the purpose of celebrating the traditional Lunar New Year. The event is preferably described as a race to fame where talents, creativity and team spirit as well as entrepreneurship are essential elements for success, bring chances to students to showcase their music talents. Besides, we could also introduce comtemporary Vietnamese music to international community thus enhancing better understanding of Vietnam's culture.

Mimicking the template of a professional and artistic idol competition, Project V starts with an audition and concluded with a finale, just before the Lunar New Year. Contestants either solos or bands from local tertiary institutions, such as NTU, NUS, SMU, SIM ,NUS High School and Temasek Polytechnics... are attracted to the Audition V, where their performances are recorded and brought into the voting system. After weeks of nail biting, heart stopping, and nerve shaking, the most potential contestants are chosen for the next round. During the following two months, people witness an amazing race of contestants in two mini contests: Photo Series and Single Debut. However, the singers now are joined by their fellows to form a team with exciting roles: manager, photographer, producer, stylist, director, marketing director and all forms of supports.

The Finale is another intersection of minds and combination of efforts with a common theme: "music", where you are singing your heart out on stage, making your votes to decide the winners, having fun interacting with others or simply listening to a song that makes you smile.
