This is an annual academic event organized by VNNTU, brings career opportunities as well as provides VNNTUers necessary knowledge in their ways to the real world. Taken place at least once a year, Career Talk has changed its titles diversifiedly in the various forms of a workshop, competition or just a sharing time between students and prosperous Vietnamese individuals. This activity is strongly believed to help all students regardless their current statues (first year or fresh graduate; engineering- oriented or business-concentrated ones) either gain rewarding understandings through a handful of challenging experiences of speakers or build up their own career plan corresponding to their capacities, passion and tertiary education. The Talk also offers useful tips on securing an appropriate job, being well-prepared for the recruitment such as creating an effecitive impressive curriculum vitae and resume, sharpening essential skills before the toughest interview session.
In 2008, with the topic "Career Development - How to plan your career road map", the talk had been conducted by Mr Vo Ta Han (A graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Bachelor and Master degrees in Management in 1972 & 1973; the founder of the MIT Club of Singapore as well as the Singapore Classical Guitar Society; Director of the Arts House and currently a member of the Board of Trustees of SIM University), Mr Nguyen Thai Son (B.S in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy and MBA from Clemson University; the Manufacturing Integration Leader for GE Oil & Gas business) and Mr Tran Duc Vi (M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in the Singapore -MIT Alliance (SMA) program, a globally professional collaborated program between NUS, NTU and Massachusetts Institute of Technology on 2002 and 2005 respectively, NUS Research Fellow and Assistant to the Deputy CEO of the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS)). They are also the heads of VN2020, a Student Advisory Network of Vietnamese professionals and students in SINGAPORE founded by Mr Vo Ta Han in 2007.
